The advent of new and affordable high-throughput sequencing techniques allows for the investigation of the genetic basis of environmental adaptation throughout the plant and animal kingdom. The framework of genotype-environment associations (GEA) provides a powerful link by correlating the geographic distribution of genotype patterns of individuals or populations with environmental factors on a spatial scale. Simulated 3-axis versus 5-axis Processing Toolpaths for Single Point Incremental Forming

Abstract Accuracy and productivity of the parts manufactured by single point incremental forming (SPIF) are influenced by the proper selection of toolpaths. CAM software packages are often used for generating the toolpaths for the process. Literature survey have revealed that contour curves and spatial spirals are the most used toolpaths for SPIF. Laser-evoked potentials for assessment of nociceptive pathways in humans

I n their Focus article, Chen, Arendt-Nielsen, and Plaghki [8] provide a comprehensive review of the . literature o~ human evoked potentials that ~re elicited by noxious heat, usually generated by Infrared laser stimulators. From this review, we identified four issues that may deserve a comment: (1) Standardize the experiment or its scientific report? (2) Nociception and pain. (3) What do laser-evoked potentials (LEPs) really measure? (4) Rational clinical use. For the sake of brevity, we do not attempt to quote all relevant literature; a complete literature survey can be found in a recent review paper by Bromm and Lorenz [4].

The literature on the speciation of metal ions in biological fluids is comprehensively reviewed. Critical examination on this subject reveals that major work has been done in blood and urine. Speciation in materials like milk has not yet been widely studied. On the other hand, only few references could be found on sweat, saliva, cell lysate, cerebrospinal, seminal, tear and bronchoalveolar fluids. A literature update has been done concerning Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) use in chromatography applications. The literature survey was based on the period from 2010 till 2020 and manuscripts reported in the data bases Web of Science and Scopus. Literature survey of the on-line preconcentration in flow-injection atomic spectrometric analysis

The literature on the use of “on-line” preconcentration in flow injection atomic spectrometric analysis is reviewed, taking into account its application both in flame and electrothermal atomic absorption methods as well as in plasma emission spectrometry. The basis of the different preconcentration approaches, such as liquid-liquid extraction, column preconcentration and “on-line” precipitation are discussed.
